When it comes to moving house, Glasgow House move is not a priority
I just got off the phone with the Glasgow House Association and it sounds like the Scottish Government has decided to let Glasgow House go.
The move, which was previously agreed in principle, has now been delayed until after the General Election.
The association, which is part of the Glasgow Government’s Housing First campaign, says that it will “not seek to take the matter forward” and that it is “not in a position to comment on the Government’s plans”.
However, it is now clear that the Government has given in to the pressure of GlasgowHouse.
I spoke to a number of senior people within the Scottish Parliament, who all said that the decision was a bad one for the Glasgows.
I spoke to one member of the Government who said that he thought the move was the “wrong decision” and had even said that Glasgow House would have to go.
So why now?
Glasgow House moved into its current home in May this year and the association has now put in an application to have it relocated to the city centre.
The association has said that it would like the move to happen before the general election, which will take place in June 2019.
The Government is set to announce its decision about the future of GlasgowHouse in November.
