When house that moves moves is bought: The history of house that moved
Liverpool’s new luxury high-rise is one of the first ever to be bought by a private buyer.
The £2bn building was designed by the architect Sir Peter Moore.
The company behind it, Gower, bought the land and started to sell it for £10m.
It bought the property at 651 Broadway, one of two high-rises in the city’s CBD.
The other was the £1.5bn Queen Elizabeth Tower, designed by Sir Paul McCartney and built in 1981.
A new £3.3bn high-density apartment building is due to open in 2020, which will be the biggest private investment in the UK.
