A new church is moving to the house
A church in Sydney’s west is moving out of its current home in a move that may have sparked a new faith movement.
The House of God Church in Cheltenhart is one of three houses in the area that have recently been put up for sale.
The Church has moved into a new house in the house that it previously lived in.
The church has been using the existing house for more than a decade and the building was not maintained for decades.
In a statement to ABC Radio’s The Drum, the church said it was moving into a house it owned in a suburb of Sydney.
“It’s been a house of worship for the past 20 years,” it said.
“Our first home was built in 1969 and it has been used by the church for more years than that.”
A spokesman for the Sydney Church of Christ, which has two churches, said it would “consider the best interests of the community” in deciding what to do with the house.
