House Moves: Romsey, Hannah, House Move
The home of the country singer Hannah Montana moved into her former home on Sunday, a day after her ex-husband sold the property.
The home is in the same neighborhood as a hotel, and it is just one of many properties on the market, including a $7.5 million penthouse in a trendy downtown Miami condominiums that are also up for sale.
Romsey and Hannah Montana are best known for their hit song “It’s Not So Bad,” and the two have been together since 1993.
In July, Romsey told The Associated Press that she had to sell her house in the affluent Miami suburb of Coral Gables to pay off her debts.
She said she was looking for a place to retire and said she didn’t have the money to do it alone.
She is expected to continue to work with the singer’s family in Miami.
The house, which has three bedrooms and a living room, has been on the block for a decade, and the sale is the latest move in the celebrity couple’s rapid move toward the suburbs.
The former wife, who is in her 30s, sold the mansion in 2014 for $2.1 million.
She has said she would like to open a “home theater” studio on the property and said that she is also looking for an investment vehicle.
Romays home is one of the few homes that are sold in the Miami area, and she and Hannah have lived in the condo complex since 2009.
The sale is expected for next month.
